CEE Registration Information

Advising holds are placed on all Civil & Environmental students’ registration each semester. To have the hold removed, follow these steps:

  1. See your academic advisor every spring and fall semester.

    • Lists of advisors are posted in the CEE display case in the Civil & Environmental Engineering Hallway, COE Building A.

    • Advisor contact information is posted in the CEE display case; phone numbers and email addresses are also available online at https://eng.famu.fsu.edu/cee/people. Find out whether your advisor prefers Zoom or in-person advising and when they are available to meet.  Faculty whose main office is in Sliger may elect to meet you there, or in Room A124 of the COE building.

    • If you cannot reach an advisor after three or more attempts, contact Dr. Nelson (cnelson@eng.famu.fsu.edu).

  2. With your advisor, plan your schedule for next semester and complete an academic advising form.
  3. Submit the completed advising form to the CEE Undergraduate Coordinator.
    • Forms can be submitted by email (to Dr. Nelson at cnelson@eng.famu.fsu.edu) or in-person to the CEE main office (Room A129).

    • Upon satisfactory review, Dr. Nelson will remove your advising hold.

  4. When your registration window opens, you can register for classes.
    • Only students who have completed the above process will be permitted to register.

    • For information on registration windows for fall, spring, and summer classes, check your respective University website:
