HPMI plays major role in deep space exploration

The High-Performance Materials Institute (HPMI) and the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering joined a major multi-university project funded by NASA that will focus on developing technologies crucial to human exploration in deep space.

“We are really happy to participate in a project that supports NASA and its future work,” HPMI Director Richard Liang, Ph.D. said enthusiastically.

New MSIE Program

Florida State University and St. Petersburg College have partnered to offer a graduate program of study leading to a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering, with a specialization in Engineering Management of Orthotics and Prosthetics. Through this partnership, St. Petersburg College students earning a Bachelor of Applied Science in Orthotics and Prosthetics can then apply and matriculate to FSU to earn their master's degree. $4.9M CREST grant awarded to FAMU-FSU researchers promoting novel materials, devices and Additive Manufacturing

Professors at Florida A&M University (FAMU) and the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering have garnered a prestigious Centers of Research Excellence in Science and Technology (CREST) grant from the National Science Foundation to support the Center for Complex Materials Design for Multidimensional Additive Processing (also known as the CoManD Center).
