ASTERIX Conference Fuels Diversity to Power the STEM Workforce of the Future

Industry and faculty from different colleges had the chance to network on the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering and Florida A&M University campuses at the semi-annual ASTERIX conference. It was the first time the conference took place at the college. 

The Advanced Sensor Technologies for Applications in Electrical Engineering-Research and Innovation excellence (ASTERIX) Consortium highlighted objectives for the upcoming year and champions the goal of building a more diverse STEM workforce pipeline.

‘Nole Engineer Recognized at FSU’s Under 35, Young Alumni Award Ceremony

Hunter Fitch, an alumnus from the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering, is one of 22 Notable Noles under 35, honored with the Young Alumni Award from the FSU Alumni Association. The recipients received recognition at the September 2022 ceremony celebrating graduates who are impactful in their career, community, society or the university. 

Alumni and Students Gather at the Green & Gold Tailgate to Celebrate the 40th Anniversary

The FAMU-FSU College of Engineering celebrated its 40th anniversary on September 23, 2022 at a tailgate-style event on its Tallahassee campus. The celebration was designed to bring Rattler and ‘Nole engineers together for a party to reminisce and celebrate the joint college’s achievements over the last four decades. More than 700 people enjoyed live music, food and campus and lab tours on a Friday before both universities hosted home football games.

The Florida Eta Chapter of Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society recognizes students scholastic achievements, and we want to celebrate with an exclusive event. This is an opportunity to network with other top-achieving students across all engineering departments and learn more about one of the most prestigious engineering honor societies in the country.
