Jamini Bhagu, a doctoral student in chemical and biomedical engineering at Florida State University and the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering, was awarded first place for her presentation at the 2023 International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM) annual meeting. The Diffusion Study Group selected Bhagu’s poster for first place in her division at the event in Toronto.
“I am truly honored to have been chosen for the first place award for the Best Poster Presentation by the ISMRM Diffusion Study Group,” Bhagu said. “It is truly humbling to have been chosen among the nearly 100 trainee presentations submitted to the study group. A big thank you to my advisor, Dr. Samuel Grant, and all my lab mates.”
Bhagu is also a graduate researcher at the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory, using ultra-high field MRI at 21.1T to evaluate the therapeutic potential of stem cell-derived therapeutics on ischemic stroke.
