Tameika Hollis, a FAMU-FSU College of Engineering alumna and the chief executive officer of Illuminate, was presented with the Wash100 Award from Executive Mosaic for more than two decades of leadership experience in the government contracting industry. 

Yavuz Oz, a post-doctoral researcher at the Florida State University-headquartered National High Magnetic Field Laboratory (NHMFL) took first place for the best paper published in Superconductor Science and Technology (SUST) by a young researcher. The Jan Evetts SUST Award was presented to Oz at the 2022 Applied Superconductivity Conference, held this Fall. 

Several FAMU-FSU College of Engineering students and faculty were recognized at the Applied Superconductivity Conference, in late 2022. Several awards and prizes were given out to outstanding engineers, scientists and managers who have made a significant contribution to the success of the field of applied superconductivity.

Catherine-Jolie Tabe is an undergraduate student at the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering in mechanical engineering and robotics. She hails from a small town in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. In high school, Tabe received two White House Presidential Volunteer Service Awards for her community work. 

FAMU-FSU College of Engineering professors Jonathan Clark and Christian Hubicki recently received the 2022 University Innovation Award from L3Harris Technologies. The researchers study robotic locomotion at the Center for Intelligent Systems, Control and Robotics (CISCOR) at the college.
