
John currently teaches Human Factors, Work Measurement, and Methods Engineering; Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering Tools; and Safety Engineering. He is the undergraduate academic advisor for the IME department and also serves as the program coordinator, overseeing all departmental C&G and E&G financial activities. After receiving his B.S. he worked for the Boeing Commercial Airplane Group in Wichita, Kansas, as a Manufacturing Research and Development Engineer in the Strut/Nacelle assembly area. After leaving Boeing he worked for the Mid-America Manufacturing Technology Center (MAMTC), a Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) center under the National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST), headquartered in Overland Park, Kansas. During this time, John served as a manufacturing consultant working with small-to-medium sized manufacturers located throughout western Kansas. John later transferred to the Florida Manufacturing Technology Center (FMTC), also a NIST MEP center, where he served briefly until joining the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering in 1999.
