Last day to drop/add classes and have fees adjusted
Students are liable for all fees for courses remaining on their schedules at 11:59 p.m. Also, courses will not be automatically dropped for never attending it. It is the student's responsibility to drop any courses that are not needed from their schedule. Drop/Add ends at 11:59 p.m. Please use the COE Course Drop/Add Request Form if you are trying to add a course that requires instructor/departmental permission (i.e. closed courses, pre-requisites not recognized, etc.). Once the form has been signed by the instructor and/or the Department Chair/Designee, the form can be emailed to studentsupport@eng.famu.fsu.edu or dropped off in COE Suite B111 (Student Services Office) to be processed. Other academic forms (i.e. Time Conflict Override Form, etc.) can be found here. Additional information: it is the student's responsibility to be aware of the prerequisites for any engineering course in which he or she is enrolled. Failure to satisfy course prerequisites may result in cancellation of your course enrollment at any time during the semester with no refund of tuition or fees. To avoid any fee liability, it is the student's responsibility to drop the course on or before the Drop/Add Deadline. |

Seventh week course drop/withdrawal deadlineThe Course Drop/Withdrawal policy at the College of Engineering is different from the policy used at either university. Undergraduate engineering students may “drop” (or withdraw) from any course in the current semester for any reason up-to and including the 7th week of classes. There may be financial aid, excess credit hours and other implications for dropping a course, so you should always contact your academic advisor first. Engineering "Late Drop" period goes into effect after the 7th week and up-to the late drop deadline of each semester. Depending on your academic classification, there are restrictions on the number of times you will be permitted to “late drop” a course during this period (see late drop deadline and policy below). Students are not permitted to drop a course if there are pending charges or imposed sanctions for an Academic Honor Policy violation. Instructions on how to process course drop/withdrawal: FAMU FSU |
