FSU Leadership Awards Night

Florida State University students, employees and organizations gathered April 10 for the university’s annual Leadership Awards Night. The ceremony, sponsored by the Division of Student Affairs, honors the diverse collection of individuals and groups across campus who engage in leadership learning.

Among other awards, the Academic Leadership Awards were given to one student undergraduate and/or graduate student from each FSU college: Andrea Marias and Alfred Vasta – Applied Sciences (FSU Panama City), Sydney Luciano and Samantha Garrison – Arts & Sciences, Matthew Young and Jacqueline Flynn – Business, Garit Poire and Rachel Rosko – Engineering, Natalie Jones and Cristian Mercado – Fine Arts, Julianne Lowry and Maria Young – Human Sciences, Mariapia Rueda and Ana Ndumu – Communication & Information, Kristen Neville and Meghan Ogle – Criminology & Criminal Justice, Savanna Deiser and Caitlyn Shumate – Education, Michael Kaney and Elizabeth Kuehn – Law, Jasmine Jordan and Scott Nelson – Medicine, Dawn Iwamasa and Elia Kenney – Music, Danielle Wilson and Tessa Traweek – Nursing, Taylor Zuccarello – Social Science & Public Policy, Kapria Lee and Savannah Hipes – Social Work, Willam Boose and Jeffrey Schemmy – Undergraduate Studies.

The Dean’s Cup, given to students who have demonstrated a strong sense of commitment to the university’s Seminole Creed of truthfulness, respect, excellence, freedom of speech and inquiry, diversity, justice, citizenship and discovery: Nicholas Cooper (Engineering), Arlet Ortiz and Caleb Dawkins.
