"Smart and Sustainable Systems for Human-Robot Collaborative Disassembly"

This event is sponsored by FAMU-FSU Engineering Department of Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering.

Abstract: Collaborative robots open new opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and provide assistance for humans in demanding tasks. This talk will discuss advancements in safety and proactive human-robot collaboration paradigm, addressing challenges in dynamic behavior recognition and robotics vision learning. The first part of the talk will focus on modeling spatial-temporal behavioral data for complex disassembly operations, while the second part will highlight innovations in the automatic detection of end-of-use products with varying conditions. I will showcase the progress in adaptive robotics sensing and intelligent system decision-making through the development of AI-learning and data-driven technologies. Besides discussing recent research studies, I will emphasize their potential applications in across multidisciplinary fields and conclude with my future research plan.
