Engineering Research Project Website Designer
Position Overview
Seeking a skilled web developer for a part-time, remote position supporting a grant-funded engineering research project. The ideal candidate will build and maintain a professional project website using Drupal 10 or comparable cloud-based platforms. This position will report to the Assistant Dean for Marketing & Communications at the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering.
Hours & Duration
- 10 hours per week (flexible scheduling)
- Long-term position (multi-year project)
- Remote work
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining professional websites
- Portfolio showcasing at least 2 completed website projects
- Proficiency in Drupal 10 or similar CMS platforms (e.g., Wix)
- Strong design sensibility and attention to detail
- Excellent written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain the project website
- Implement responsive design and ensure mobile compatibility
- Update content and features as needed
- Collaborate with research team members
- Ensure website security and regular maintenance
- Document website structure and processes
