All faculty, students and staff are cordially invited to attend a special showing of “A Million Miles Away” at Challenger Learning Center’s IMAX Theater on Friday February 23 at 6:30 pm. This event celebrates national Engineer’s Week and is open to all. Bring your family and friends to enjoy a free movie and popcorn courtesy of the college and Challenger!

Based on a true story, the 2023 movie is a biopic about José Hernández and his path from a farm worker to becoming an engineer and an astronaut. A tale of perseverance, community and sacrifice to accomplish a seemingly impossible dream. Hernández was born in Mexico. While working in the fields, he co-developed the first digital mammography imaging system. He then persevered to become a crew member on Space Shuttle mission STS-128.
