Peer mentoring program ramps up for Fall 2020 semester

Students at engineering mentoring social

The FAMU-FSU Engineering Peer Mentor Program is ramping up for the Fall 2020 semester with invitations to register and connect. This program matches upper-division engineering students with new and second-year peers to develop long-term friendships and assist with the rigorous engineering curriculum. Mentors and mentees are matched based on a variety of factors. Events and one-on-one mentoring sessions foster a long-term relationship between students that benefit both participants.

Become a Mentee

We strongly encourage that every incoming engineering student at Florida A&M and Florida State universities sign-up for a Peer Mentor this Fall. Please fill out the link by August 9th, 2020 to be matched with a mentor who is excited to serve as a guide to navigating these new experiences. Students will be matched with a mentor the week before the start of the semester, providing time to ask questions and get to know the college before the first day of class. Mentors will make themselves available to answer any questions, give advice, or just serve as a point of contact at the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering.

Become a Mentor

The FAMU-FSU College of Engineering Peer Mentorship Program is seeking motivated and friendly upper-division engineering students to serve as a Mentor to our incoming freshmen and transfer students from FAMU and FSU. If you are interested, please register by August 9th, 2020. Matches will be sent out the week before school starts and we ask that you reach out to your mentee at least once before August 24th, the first day of classes.

Throughout the semester, the Mentorship Program will host a monthly meet-up via Zoom with interactive experiences featuring engineering student organizations, engineering study tips, and Kahoot games to win prizes! Email with questions.
