Scott has served Northrop Grumman for over 15 years in both technical and leadership positions of increasing responsibility. Scott’s achievements include execution of significant cost reduction initiatives and quality improvements across a number of products, which supported successful production rate increases and deliveries ahead of schedule.
Earlier in his career he played a significant role in advanced planning and execution of production on the first E-2D Hawkeye Aircraft, reaching the aircraft’s first flight milestone on schedule.
As an undergraduate, he worked as a Research Assistant for Magnet Science and Technology at the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory in Tallahassee, FL.
Scott earned a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Florida State University through the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering and a MBA from the University of North Florida. He has been a certified Six Sigma Black Belt through the American Society for Quality since 2004. Scott has also served as a member on the Board of Directors for Investing in Kids (INK!) since 2015, a nonprofit organization benefiting students and teachers in St. Johns County Schools.
The FAMU-FSU College of Engineering’s Department of Mechanical Engineering recognized Scott as a Distinguished Alumni at its 2018 Annual Alumni Awards banquet.
