Overview

Every year, senior engineering students participate in a two-semester Senior Design course, where they apply the knowledge learned in the classroom and work with industry partners on a sponsored project. These undergraduates work in teams, often interdisciplinary to provide innovative and creative solutions for real-life projects. Senior Design is a signature engineering capstone experience for students and the experience helps them realize specific design needs by using engineering skills they have learned through the curriculum.

Volunteer Judges Needed

Alumni and professional mentors (including those sponsoring design projects) who want to attend Senior Design Day should register as volunteer judges for our Senior Design project review on Thursday, April 10, 2025, in Tallahassee. All volunteers are also invited to join the college that evening at our annual Donor and Volunteer Recognition Reception.

7:30 AM – Volunteer arrival, check-in & breakfast pick-up
8:15 AM – 1:30 PM - Oral presentations (Lunch will be provided)
1:30 PM – Poster Session* (Engineering Buildings A & B)
3:15 PM – Awards* (Engineering A Atrium)

*These segments are OPTIONAL for judges this year. The engineering faculty will score posters.
