Dr. Dennis Agnew is an Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering. He grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and began his academic journey at Jackson State University, where he earned his B.S. in Computer Engineering. He later attended the University of Florida, earning both his M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering. 

Following his graduate studies, Dr. Agnew joined MIT Lincoln Laboratory as a Technical Staff member, where he conducted research involving modeling and simulation of advanced communication networks. His research interests include software-defined networking, wireless communications, network cybersecurity and artificial intelligence and machine learning for resilient and autonomous networked systems. 

At the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering, Dr. Agnew leads the Network Orchestration, Virtualization and Analysis (NOVA) Lab. His research focuses on developing intelligent, secure and resilient networked systems, with applications spanning tactical and wireless communications, UAV and satellite networks and cyber-physical systems such as smart grids and microgrids.
