Nick Overby, PE, PMP, is a Federal Program & Client Manager for HDR, Inc., operating out of the Charlotte, NC office. In this strategic role, Nick leads multi-discipline planning and design teams within the Architecture/Engineering (A/E) industry, specializing in serving Navy/NAVFAC and DHS/USCG military installations. He serves as the Contract Manager and business development lead for the 10-year, $1 Billion Nationwide A/E IDIQ contract for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and U.S. Coast Guard. His experience portfolio at HDR includes key projects such as leading the Task Force Florence rebuild efforts at MCB Camp Lejeune and overseeing the design for the F-35 Sustainment Center at MCAS Cherry Point. Mr. Overby holds a Professional Engineer (PE) license and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and is currently pursuing his Design-Build Professional (DBIA) certification. Committed to industry leadership, his professional service includes serving as the Vice President of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) Coastal Carolina Post and as a member of the National Federal Advocacy Committee for the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC). Nick earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Florida State University and his Master of Business Administration from East Carolina University.
