Student Outcomes SACS -Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering

Student Learning Outcomes:

 

  1. Fundamental Knowledge  

    Define Outcome: Upon completion of the course of instruction, the student will be able to apply fundamental knowledge in a broad area of Mechanical Engineering disciplines in solving engineering problems (three major areas in the department: thermal/fluids, dynamics/control, and mechanics/materials).

     

  2. Independent Learning & Research 

    Define Outcome: Upon completion of the course of instruction, the student will demonstrate independent self-learning and research capabilities, which enable students to grow throughout his/her career after graduation. 

     

  3. Professional and Career Development 

    Define Outcome: Upon completion of the degree program, the student will demonstrate the ability to function effectively as an engineering professional. 

     

  4. Communication Skills

    Define Outcome: Upon completion of the degree program, the student will demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively with written, oral, and visual means.
