Student Outcomes SACS - Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering

Student Learning Outcomes:

 

  1. Scientific Knowledge and Problem Solving 

    Outcome Type: Critical Thinking Skills, Content/Discipline Knowledge & Skills 

    Define Outcome: Upon completion of the course of instruction, the student will be able to apply a knowledge of mathematics, physics, chemistry, and chemical engineering to identify, formulate, and solve chemical engineering problems.  

     

  2. Chemical Engineering Process Experimentation 

    Outcome Type: Content/Discipline Knowledge & Skills 

    Define Outcome: Upon completion of the course of instruction, the student will be able to design and conduct chemical engineering experiments, and analyze and interpret fundamental data of importance to the design and analysis of chemical processes. 

     

  3. Design and Analyze Chemical

    Outcome Type: Content/Discipline Knowledge & Skills

    Define Outcome: Upon completion of the senior-level Chemical Engineering capstone design sequence of ECH4604 and ECH4615, the student will be able to design and analyze new and existing chemical systems and processes to meet desired needs.

    Define Outcome: Upon completion of the course of instruction, the student will be able to demonstrate an understanding of professional and ethical responsibility.

    Define Outcome: Upon completion of the course of instruction, the student will be able to demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills, and be able to communicate chemical engineering topics effectively in written reports.
