We will present the findings of our D&I Campus Climate Survey from Fall 2020 and the comparison of our climate against other institutions nationwide. October 1 – LatinX Affinity Group Lunch (FSU Golf Club, 12:00 pm) Open to all faculty and staff that identify as Hispanic/LatinX and work at the college. October 22 – Green & Gold Tailgate (outside B building, 4:00 – 6:30 pm, catered by 4Rivers BBQ with live performances from both FAMU and FSU special programs) Bring the kids and your friends to this annual celebration of the green and gold traditions of FAMU and FSU. Music, lawn games, giveaways and more for all engineering students, faculty, staff and alumni. Wear your school colors and join us on the lawn.
October 29 - Metathinking: Secret Superpowers of an ADHD Brain (F2F, Location TBD, 1:00 – 2:00 pm) Dr. Scott Thourson, faculty member in chemical & biomedical engineering, shares the metathinking skills he learned as an adolescent with ADHD that can help anyone—neurodiverse or neurotypical—succeed and actually learn the first time from inevitable mistakes.
