About the Engineering Library

Although the main book and journal collections for engineering students are housed in the Coleman Library at FAMU and the Dirac Science Library at FSU, the College maintains an Engineering Library that functions as a satellite to the two university libraries.

The mission of the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering Library is to support and enhance the learning, teaching, research, and service activities of the faculty, students, and staff of the College of Engineering by providing organized access to quality information in all formats, promoting information literacy, preserving information and engaging in collaborative partnerships to disseminate ideas to advance intellectual discovery.

In support of this mission, the Library is supported by both FAMU and FSU collections which collectively contain more than 4 million volumes, with more than 549,000 available as e-books. The Libraries' subscribe to more than 90,000 periodicals and serials and more than 600 databases. Materials not available electronically or at one of the libraries may be requested through Interlibrary Loan.
