Objectives and Outcomes

The FAMU-FSU College of Engineering has five academic departments offering 18 degree programs at the BS, MS, and PhD levels. All undergraduate degree programs are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, http://www.abet.org, and our parent institutions (FAMU and FSU) are accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). Each degree program has defined a set of educational program educational objectives and program (or student learning) outcomes. Program educational objectives are broad statements that describe career and professional accomplishments that each program is preparing graduates to achieve.

Program outcomes describe what graduates are expected to know and be able to do by the time of graduation. In addition, each program has established a systematic process for continuous improvement of their which involves a periodic assessment and evaluation of program educational objectives and program (or student learning) outcomes.
